Our Story
Spice Garden opened its doors in 2009 with a simple mission: to bring authentic, home-cooked flavours to the heart of London. What started as a small family venture has grown into one of the area's most beloved dining destinations.
Our founder, Amira Khan, drew inspiration from her grandmother's kitchen in Lahore, where every meal was prepared with patience, love, and the freshest ingredients available. That same philosophy drives everything we do today — from sourcing seasonal produce from local farms to slow-cooking our signature dishes to perfection.
Over the past 15 years, we've served thousands of guests, hosted hundreds of celebrations, and earned a reputation for warmth, quality, and consistency. But we've never lost sight of where we began: a family kitchen where food brought people together.
Meet Chef Rajan
Head Chef Rajan Mehta brings over 25 years of culinary experience spanning kitchens in Mumbai, Dubai, and London. Trained at Le Cordon Bleu and mentored by Michelin-starred chefs, Rajan combines classical technique with bold, modern flavour profiles.
His approach is simple: respect the ingredient, honour the tradition, and never stop experimenting. Under his leadership, Spice Garden has developed a menu that bridges the gap between comfort food and fine dining — dishes that are familiar yet surprising, simple yet sophisticated.
"Cooking is about generosity. Every dish that leaves my kitchen carries a piece of who I am and where I come from."
— Chef Rajan Mehta
